Make sure they are the same if you can’t see them look at the number of stars or dots. Look at the mail server settings boxes for password and port settings they’re the ones you need to delete and reapply. Doing a send and receive manually or waiting on the scheduled send and receive on the client does not update new mail items.

I checked on web mail here it is.one account is configured on two computers, one is configured with POP second is IMAP. Missing mail is showing on POP account Pc but not showing on IMAP pc. If I have the inbox selected and I get new mail, I will not see the new mail appear in the inbox automatically during a scheduled send and receive. I use both webmail and Outlook desktop client to access my Gmail. I am normally looking at the All Mail folder on Outlook. I have several email accounts / IMAP set-up. So looking at my tree of Troubleshoot Office 365 Sync and Login Issues email accounts one inbox might have 10 mail total and 3 unread form earlier. It's not until I click on that folder I will then see the 10 and 3 and two second later it will sync and new ones will populate. The issue is; just looking at my email accounts and the numbers shown next to the folders I cant tell if there is new mail or not until I click on them.

I have all desktop alerts turned off I prefer it this way I don't need all of that. I just want to be able to look and see new message. Even if I have an account with zero message I need to click to see the new ones there are no numbers appear. I am also running QuickFolders and its the same nothing shows up on those tabs until i physically click on them. Ok so my mistake the Properties option is there when right clicking folder - I was only focused on right clicking on the email address to take me to server setting I was not clicking on the actual folder. I right click a folder and Properties and it take me to attached windows.

When you right-click one of the folders that doesn't show new mail unless you select it, Properties, is the box 'When getting new messages... It's usually not checked by default for IMAP to minimize network traffic. Subscribing to a folder makes it appear in the Folder Pane, but one might not always want a folder to be synced automatically if it is mainly an archive folder or one that seldom receives new mail. This limits the amount of network traffic and improves performance for syncing important folders. But many users run into the problem where their important work offline mode stuck IMAP folders are not syncing or stop updating.

• The problem can be caused by either improper settings or a damaged send/receive group within Outlook.
• Microsoft, gmail and other popular accounts should sync automatically, but if they don't, I'm inclined to think it's due to the VPN or a security/antivirus app that is scanning the TB profile folder.

I did see a response from a MS person that said it was working as intended, that it wouldn’t refresh the folder until it was selected. Although that seems like a load of BS, but could just be a con to try to migrate people to exchange at a higher cost. I know that sometimes when doing it, it can take a moment for the rest of the folders to kick back in. I went to a bunch of online TLS tests and the mail server is fine and the certificates are trusted... So only wait when some "smarties" from apple IT solve problem in app ... Apple programmers use no CD/CI - simple sometimes update by "sales-manager requests", and without any critical-bug-checks ...

Outlook not syncing IMAP emails

We only have a handful of people who use the their email across multiple devices at the corporate office. Just a question - why not look at office 365? Mailbox only support is like $6 a month or less, and it is proper exchange, enabling better syncing etc. You should look at your Outlook desktop client settings to review the default synchronization schedule and tweak anything you can to get it to poll Google's IMAP servers more frequently. I access the IMAP servers from 3 different machines, and they all see the changes from each other. The problem is that the some changes are not reflected in the Gmail web app.
